Jimmy Wales
Jimmy "Jimbo" Wales is the co-founder of the nonprofit Wikipedia, the encyclopedia anyone can edit. He has also started Wikia, Inc. and the Wikimedia foundation. Wikipedia is now the most popular free, international online encyclopedia, and serves as a very reliable source of information.

He didn't create the original wiki. He just co-founded what ended up being a famous one.
Where would be without this guy's wiki creation. I mean there would be no wikis, and there would be no Wikipedia, Web 2.0 wouldn't even exist because everyone at this time thought it would be impossible to have a site capable for letting anyone edit its content and not have the site be a complete spam hell, or a site that gets defaced entirely.
