Jean Cook is the Outreach Director for the Future of Music Coalition. She has been playing violin since 1979. She is a founder and Executive Producer of Anti-Social Music, a New York-based new music collective, and currently records and tours with Beauty Pill, Gena Rowlands Band, Ida, and Jon Langford. She has worked as both a curator and publicist for Washington Performing Arts Society and produced the multimedia indie opera The Nitrate Hymnal. Other past projects include producing the radio program "The Twentieth Century String Quartet" on WKCR-FM in NYC and directing operations for Air Traffic Control, a political action group helping musicians to be more effective in the 2004 election cycle.
