Chris Brogan builds communities, has background in wireless telephony and data center engineering, as well as a passion for modern web applications, and is the Community Developer at pulvermedia and coFounder PodCamp at www.PodCamp.org
His current roles include building a professional conference with Jeff Pulver called VIDEO ON THE NET. (http://videoonthenet.com) This event explores the impact of the broadband Internet on the future of TV, film, and broadcasting. Brogan does everything from finding the speakers to growing the audience to communicating with exhibitors and sponsors on the benefits and opportunities related to the conference series.
He is am community developer for Network2.tv , an Internet TV network that lets you discover the best in long tail Internet TV content and watch it on the device of your choice. My role there includes making friends with hundreds of independent media creators, videobloggers, and others in the burgeoning Internet TV industry.
Brogan is also co-Founder of PodCamp, a FREE unconference that explores the use of new media community tools like blogging, podcasting, and videoblogging to extend conversations and build relationships into the digital world. The first event was in Boston in September 2006, but since then, organizers have created PodCamps all over the world, including New York, Atlanta, San Francisco, Denmark, and Sweden, among other places (even Second Life).
